Fringe Benefit Charges
These may apply when paying a
UW-Whitewater or UW System employee

With the exception of orgs from Fund 102, 105, 114, 115 and 402, the requesting department's org budget will be charged for the salary amount indicated in their requesting memo plus actual fringe benefit costs. Following are approximate fringe rates for the 2000-2001 fiscal year for non-doctoral institutions:

For example: a department requesting a $200.00 overload payment from a Fund 128 org for a UW-Whitewater faculty member would be charged approximately $272.00 ($200.00 salary plus approximately $72.00 fringe benefits).

Actual fringe benefit charges will vary depending on the individual employee's situation (see "Fringe Benefits" in the Glossary for more information) and could be higher or lower than the percentages noted.
