Winterim 2008

Winterim is a three-week session held between the Fall and Spring terms designed to help students keep on track for graduation. It features sections of courses that tend to fill up quickly during the academic year. Generally, the Winterim session begins shortly after New Year's Day and concludes on the Friday before Martin Luther King Day. Depending on the calendar, however, Winterim may begin in late December.

Classes meet Monday-Friday, 8:30-11:35 a.m., unless otherwise indicated. Students may take only one course during Winterim and many find they like this intensive course format which allows them to concentrate on only one subject.

Registration for Winterim typically begins in mid-October. Students who are not admitted at UW-Whitewater may apply for the Winterim session only without paying an application fee or submitting transcripts. Tuition costs for a Winterim class are the same as the regular academic year.
