CSAC General Meeting
The next all classified staff meeting of the CSAC will be Monday, June 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in University Center 275A. All classified staff members are allowed to attend CSAC meetings, and should submit a request to attend to their supervisors in advance. Annual Classified Staff Recognition and Retirement Dinner
The first annual Spring Classified Staff Recognition and Retirement dinner will be on Tuesday, June 11 in The Old Main Ballroom, University Center 275. Social hour with cash bar will begin at 4:30pm with dinner at 5:00pm. The program recognizing our 2013 Classified Staff Excellence Award winners and the 2012-2013 Retirees will begin at 6:00pm. The cost of the dinner is $18.50. Please RSVP using our reservation form before Monday, June 3rd.

CSAC Purpose
The purpose of creating a Classified Staff Advisory Council is to provide an opportunity for classified employees to contribute to the furtherance of the UW-Whitewater mission and the overall mission of the University of Wisconsin System.

The UW System Office of Human Resources requires that all employees receive copies of the Board of Regents Policy on Employee Relationships with Educational Loan Lenders, the UW System Employee Ethics Brochure and the Wisconsin Administrative Code on Employee Ethics. The UW System Office of Human Resources specifically asks that employees pay particular attention to Wisconsin Administrative Code section 24.04(2)(b) that states, "No employee may solicit or accept from any person or organization, directly or indirectly, money or anything of value if it could reasonably be expected to influence such employee's official actions or judgment, or could reasonably be considered as a reward for any official action or inaction on the part of the employee." Marni Carter, Math & Computer Science
Marni is finally settled in her new office in Laurentide and, while she initally had reservations about moving yet another time, she is delighted to be in her new location. She has been working in the Math & Computer Science Department for twelve years and has worked with three chairpersons during those years: D. Phanord, Bennett Harris, and Julie Letellier. Marni's first location with this department was in Baker Hall. When that building was razed, she was moved to McCutchan. She admits that she was not looking forward to moving again, but once she was in her new office she quickly changed her mind. Read more...
