In-class Aide/Library Assistance

In-Class Aid

Policy

In-Class aides are provided for students with physical disabilities who need assistance during class periods and/or lab environments in order to perform the required class activities.

Requests should be made as soon as your class schedules are finalized. Late requests will result in late provision of services.

Class attendance is required for this service. In-class aides will wait up to 15 minutes and leave if you do not arrive for class.

It is the student's responsibility to let the Key Contact know if you find out or decide that you do not need the in-class aide services.

Problems or concerns with your aides should be discussed and resolved through your Key Contact.

Procedure

  1. Make your request for in-class aides through your Key Contact.
  2. The in-class aide coordinator will e-mail you the name, phone number and e-mail of your in-class aide(s).
  3. It is your responsibility to contact your aide(s) to agree on times and place to meet.
