The WI-WIOA Career Interview Project is a partnership between the UW-Whitewater Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) and the Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to provide services under the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
If you would like to talk to someone about Wisconsin’s WIOA policy interpretation and guidance, please find contact information for the your local Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation office here https://dwd.wisconsin.gov/dvr/contacts.htm.
Wisconsin’s DVR does not have oversight related to subminimum wage jobs. DVR is responsible for providing information and services to individuals seeking employment at or currently earning less than minimum wage. Only the Department of Labor can provide a definitive answer about the responsibilities of subminimum wage employers under WIOA and interpretation of FSLA or other related wage law.
