The UW-Whitewater Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) Prevention Coalition is a group of campus staff, faculty, students and local community members who meet on a monthly basis to address alcohol and drug issues that affect our university. The AODA Prevention Coalition, chaired by the AODA Educator, seeks to engage the greater university community in addressing AODA issues and to assist students in making responsible decisions about the use of alcohol and drugs. The group is comprised of members that represent a variety of programs and departments around campus, ensuring that these issues are addressed form a variety of perspectives.

The Coalition currently includes members from the following departments, programs or groups:

An AODA committee has existed on campus since the mid-1990s and has been operating in its current form since the fall of 2003. Past accomplishments include the following:

The Coalition currently meets monthly on Thursdays from 11:30am-12:30pm in the University Center. We are always seeking new members (student, staff or local community) who are engaged with this important campus issue and want to make a positive difference in the lives of our students by encouraging healthy decision-making.
