Retrospective: Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Events

The Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemomrative Event at UW-Whitewater is a university-wide human relations endeavor.  Over the past decade, students, faculty, and staff members have had the opportunity to hear scholars, educators and writers expound on the ideals of Martin Luther King,  Jr.  

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Tiffany PratherTiffany Prather, Psy. D., CSAC, is a proud alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, completing the following degrees: BSE in Special Education (1992); MSE in School Psychology (1994); Post-Master's Certification in School Psychology (1995). She also earned a Psy.D. from the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology (2008).  Dr. Prather is a clinical psychologist with the U.S. Department of State. Her volunteerism as a professional in counseling ministry, healthcare psychological outreach, and family support has complemented public service activities as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.  Her philanthropy is highlighted by the endowment of the Jabez Scholarship and T. Marie Prather Scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  Dr. Prather was recognized as the Outstanding Young Alumna at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2007.  She is married to Carlos L. Nurse, who is Chief Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force.  The couple will relocate soon to Guam, on a three year tour.
