Assistant Athletic Director - Internal Operations (Admin Program Manager III) - Intercollegiate Athletics - 13909

ATTENTION:

The Intercollegiate Athletics department at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks an Assistant Athletic Director - Internal Operations (Admin Program Manager III).

JOB DETAILS:

Under the direction of the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations will support and enhance the mission of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Athletic Department.  The primary function of the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations is to directly administer and provide oversight of all financial aspects of budgeting, event management, facility management, equipment operations,  NCAA reporting for the athletics program at UW-Whitewater and assists with capital projects. This position directly communicates with campus housing, summer sports camp office, dining services, travel companies and university financial services as a means to accomplish these priorities. The selected individual will also develop policies and procedures designed to enhance the Athletic Department’s home events while providing alumni, sponsors and fans a vehicle to remain loyal to the Warhawks and to build the brand of UW-Whitewater Athletics. 

The Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations will oversee the process of strategic planning, forecast the department budget, provide quality events for the department's constituents and maintain and manage a variety of campus relationships for identified priorities of the Athletic Department. This position will act on behalf of the UW-Whitewater Athletic Department in accordance with the department, university, conference, and the NCAA relgulations, and act as the primary liaison to all internal operations matters pertaining to travel, budgeting, event managment, housing, dining, facilities, summer camps, and NCAA reports. This individual will serve on various committees on behalf of the department and help with preparing RFPs for strategic partnership initiatives. This position will hire and train all student workers for special event/game management duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree;
  • 2+ years of budgeting, facilities, event management, and/or summer camp management experience.
  • Supervisory experience of employees and/or interns/student workers.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated success in camps, facilities, and event management;
  • Experience in intercollegiate athletics or higher education.
