Position Summary:
The Admissions Office at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater invites applications for the position of Admissions Representative.  This is a 12-month, full-time position that reports to the Director of Admissions, and will be responsible for Visitor Services, a commitment to providing the best experiences for students interacting with the university as the primary in-house responsibility.  This position supervises student staff, including both Campus Assistants and regular student employees.  The person in this position will also coordinate all on-campus events, including but not limited to Warhawk Premiere Days and the Counselor Workshop.  Additionally, this position responds to electronic requests for information including email inquiries, prospect name purchases and leads generated by these activities, and coordinates web-based interactions.  This person also assists the Admissions Office by making admission decisions regularly on files that become complete.  This position will have some limited territory management, and may visit local high schools and participate in college fairs as needed.  The admissions representative will serve as the primary contact with the Center for Students with Disabilities and may serve as a liaison for one of the academic colleges and/or other university departments as a representative of the Admissions Office to serve as the primary office contact.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, related experience strongly recommended.  Must demonstrate a willingness to travel and must have a valid driver’s license.  Experience in student services in higher education is also preferred.  Student supervision is strongly recommended.  Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills are required.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with student information systems, particularly PeopleSoft, is preferred.  Must understand and endorse the UW-Whitewater mission.  Must have the ability to establish rapport and to build strong working relationships with a wide variety of people and possess a demonstrated commitment to and experience with diverse populations.
