Responsibilities: The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater invites applications for an Advisor in the College of Education and Professional Studies.  Administrative responsibilities include advising students across 8 departments in the College of Education and Professional Studies in areas such as student program planning, course selection, transfer advising, registration, and Admission to Professional Education.  The advisor will also represent the College at campus, state, regional, and national events, and assist with the day-to-day administrative functions of the Advising Assistance Center. 

•Master’s Degree required at time of hire; education degree preferred
•Experience in academic advising required; higher education setting preferred
•Experience in teacher education advising preferred
•Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to work with non-traditional students are essential to this position
•Commitment to student-centered advising team approach
•Excellent organizational and time management skills

This is a full-time, twelve-month academic staff appointment to begin on July 1, 2013 which may include travel and some evening and weekend responsibilities.  Salary commensurate with experience, benefits included.
