Part-Time Lecturer in Anthropology
Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice
Position: Lecturer appointment with possibility of renewal
Qualifications: Masters degree in Anthropology, PhD preferred. Experience with undergraduate teaching required.
Responsibilities: Part-time Lecturer in Anthropology to begin 8/21/2013. Area of need is to teach two sections of a course on Culture and Medicine in fall term 2013 with possibility for renewal. Teaching interests that includes Latin America is desirable. UWW is an EO/AA employer. Criminal background check required. Candidates must have experience and be able to work with a diverse population.
University: UW-Whitewater is a premier public regional university with an enrollment of 12,000 students in 50 undergraduate majors and 11 master's degree programs. It offers high-quality, career oriented programs with a model general education curriculum.
Community: Whitewater, a city of 13,000, is located in southeastern Wisconsin near the scenic Kettle Moraine State Forest. The immediate area offers a wide variety of summer and winter recreational activities, including facilities of the nearby Whitewater Lake recreational area. Whitewater is 50 miles from Milwaukee, 45 miles from Madison and 110 miles from Chicago.
