Educational Outreach Coordinator
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater invites nominations and applications for the position of Educational Outreach Coordinator. The Educational Outreach Coordinator reports to the Associate Dean of the School of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education and has primary responsibility for initiating and supporting professional development opportunities for regional school districts that create sustainable relationships between UW-Whitewater and Wisconsin teachers and administrators. The Educational Outreach Coordinator will take the lead in strategic planning for UW-Whitewater’s educational outreach priorities and in collaborating with school districts and in-service teachers to identify their professional development needs. The educational outreach coordinator will work to raise the visibility of UW-Whitewater’s professional development opportunities and serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries about UW-Whitewater educational outreach programs. This position works in close collaboration with faculty and academic departments to develop and deliver educational professional development programs and courses. This is a one-year, renewable position. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

•Support development of professional development opportunities for educators
•Provide leadership for prioritizing and coordinating UW-Whitewater educational outreach programs
•Provide leadership in raising the visibility of UW-Whitewater educational outreach programs
•Collaborate with regional school districts to address their professional development needs
Advanced degree in an education field (doctoral degree preferred, master’s considered) required with significant experience in Pre-K-12 education/administration or professional development required. The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential to be an enthusiastic and motivated promoter of UW-Whitewater professional development for educators and to serve as a liaison between UW-Whitewater academic departments, Continuing Education and local/regional school districts. In addition the successful candidate will possess:
•Strong presentation and facilitation skills, excellent written and oral communication skills
•Previous project management experience
•Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
•Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with school district and university staff.
•Ability to be flexible and able to adapt to the immediate or unforeseen challenges
