Lecturer in Arts Management
The Theatre/Dance Department at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater announces a full-time, Instructional Academic Staff Position in Arts Management beginning in the fall of 2013. The preferred candidate will teach and develop courses in arts management and entrepreneurship, including on-line courses, courses that will serve the needs of non-traditional populations, and the college’s general education World of the Arts course, as well as coordinating the annual Creative Enterprise Symposium. The candidate will also work with local and regional arts organizations, as well as other colleges at the university, to cultivate stronger connections between these units and organizations and the College of Arts and Communication. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.
Position Available: Fall 2013
Qualifications: MA in Arts Management preferred; MA with Professional Experience in a related area considered; strong evidence of successful university teaching; strong evidence of successful work with diverse and non-traditional student populations; ability to work evenings and weekends, and to develop Innovative, non-traditional curricular offerings (e.g. workshops, module courses, etc.)
Rank: Full Time instructional academic staff for academic year.
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications.

Department: The UWW Theatre/Dance Department has a staff of 10 faculty/academic staff members, serving around 80 theatre majors (BA, BFA, BSE) and 100+ minors, with 7 students in the Theatre BFA-Management/Promotions program and 24 students in the Arts Management Minor. Six productions are mounted each year, including one touring children’s play and one dance concert. The Theatre/Dance Department is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST).
