Responsibilities: |
This is a full-time teaching position in the
Philosophy and Religious Studies Department.
Teaching responsibilities include twentieth century philosophy, epistemology
& metaphysics, and introduction to philosophy. We strongly prefer a
candidate with a fluency in both the Analytic and the Continental traditions. In addition to philosophy courses, the
candidate will teach two sections each semester of World of Ideas, the multi-disciplinary
general education capstone course. The candidate is expected to support the
Liberal Studies major through advising and senior thesis supervision. We are especially interested in a candidate
with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. The candidate must publish scholarly work
and will be responsible for the usual non-teaching service duties. |
