Description: The Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater invites applications for one full-time academic staff lecturer position in Mathematical and Computer Sciences beginning August 21, 2013.  Responsibilities include teaching 27 undergraduate credits per year (typically divided as 15 credits in fall and 12 credits in spring), primarily in mathematics courses from Intermediate Algebra to Calculus. 
 Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching these courses, and who have used software such as Mathematica or Matlab in the classroom.    Continued scholarly activity or professional development is a plus.   

Starting Date: 8/21/2013

Qualifications: A doctorate in mathematics, or ABD in mathematics with expected completion by August 21, 2013 is required.  At least two years full time teaching experience in mathematics at the college or university level is required.

General Information: The UW-Whitewater Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences offers a range of
undergraduate  programs in mathematics, computer science, and mathematics education.  In addition, the department also lends support to a Media Arts and Game Development major.  There are currently 37 faculty and academic staff in the department.
