Academic Advisors
Academic Advising & Exploration Center
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater invites applications for Academic Advisors to assist with general advising in the University’s Academic Advising & Exploration Center. Advising duties will include assisting first year students with program planning, general course selection and other academic support. The advisors will assist with Plan-It Purple Sessions, Priority Registrations and On-Campus Days. The advisors will each teach one section of the New Student Seminar in addition to other duties as assigned by the Director of the Academic Advising & Exploration Center. Salary commensurate with experience, benefits included.
Qualifications:
· Masters Degree required at time of hire
· Experience in academic advising in a higher education setting required
· Commitment to a student-centered advising team approach
· Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population
This is a full-time, twelve-month academic staff appointment to begin on or after July 1, 2009 which may include some evening and weekend responsibilities.
