Position Title:                    Biologist

 

Appointment:                     Full-time Tenure-track

 

Starting Date:                    August 2010

 

Position Description:           The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater invites applications for a full time, tenure-track ASSISTANT PROFESSOR appointment to teach a plant systematics course to biology majors, and to teach the first semester of introductory biology for majors (basic biochemistry, cell biology, genetics and diversity of microbes and protists).  Responsibilities may also include teaching non-majors’ service courses and majors’ courses in areas of expertise.

 

Qualifications:                    Ph.D. in biological science is required.  The successful candidate must demonstrate potential to be an outstanding teacher, productive scholar, and active contributor of professional, university and community service. 

 

Salary:                             Competitive and negotiable.
