DESCRIPTION: The Department of Information Technology and Business Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is anticipating a full-time tenure track faculty opening starting Fall 2010, contingent on budgetary approval.  The hired candidate will teach face-to-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses in Business Communication, provide leadership for the departmental Business Communication program, and provide academic advising for students.  The successful candidate must also have experience or a strong interest in serving as a faculty advisor in student organizations as well as demonstrate potential to be an outstanding teacher, productive scholar, and active contributor of professional, university, and community service. Promotion will be based on a balanced commitment to teaching, research, and service.  Opportunities for summer teaching and professional travel support exist. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Required:  Doctorate in a Business-Communication related field.  ABDs, who will have a doctorate at the time of appointment, will be considered. 

Preferred: Business Communication teaching experience at the university level; ability to support the departmental Business Teacher Education program (K-12 Business Education teaching experience and/or related university coursework)

RANK: Assistant or Associate Professor.

SALARY:  Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications.
