Description: The Department of Languages and Literatures at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor Generalist position. The successful candidate will teach a 4/4 load of Freshman English, Remedial Composition, English for International Students, and a variety of upper-level writing courses including Prose Stylistics, Rhetoric for Writers and Advanced Composition. Requirements include demonstrated excellence in teaching, a commitment to undergraduate education especially for underserved groups, and clear evidence of scholarly potential.
Starting Date: 22 August 2010
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Literature or Rhetoric, with experience teaching basic writers and second language learners.
