INTRODUCTION:

The Department of the University Center at the University of Wisconisn-Whitewater seeks a University Program Associate (Unviersity Services Program Associate).
    
JOB DUTIES:

This position assists with providing support for University Center staff, as well as completing tasks assigned by the Assistant Director of the University Center. The UC Administration Project Position reports to the Assistant Director of the University Center.
    
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge, Skills and Abilites:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills
  • Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
RESPONSIBILITES:

Intellectual and Practical Skills
  1. Writes professional emails to faculty, staff, administrators, and students, as well as community members and local businesses
  2. Makes professional phone calls to campus departments and community businesses on behalf of the University Center
  3. Assists in promoting the University Center Student Employment Program through email, distribution of flyers and postings, staffing special events, etc.
  4. Completes tasks within a reasonable amount of time to show efficiency in work
Personal and Social Responsibility
  1. Organizes, orders and completes an ongoing inventory of office supplies for the UC Administration office and the University Center staff and students
  2. Communicates and delivers information/items to departments within the University Center, on campus, and in the community through numerous communication channels
  3. Maintains an ongoing inventory of University Center student apparel and system operations
Integrative and Applied Learning
  1. Assists in the interviewing process of new University Center student employees
  2. Assists in the hiring process of new University Center student employees and professional staff
Knowledge of Human Cultures and the Physical and Natural World
  1. Participates in various University Center planning committees, as directed
  2. Works with the University Center Assistant Director, UC Promotions Coordinator and UC Program Associate to develop Marketing strategies for employee programs
  3. Assists with Roberta’s Art Gallery staff with exhibits, receptions and workshops
  4. Attends University Center Staff meetings and professional development opportunities
  5. Works collaboratively with all University Center departments
  6. Other duties as assigned
