  • Association of American Colleges and Universities (AACU)

    A national association committed to making the aims of liberal learning a vigorous and constant influence on institutional purpose and educational practice in higher education.

  • American Association for Higher Education (AAHE)

    A national organization dedicated to improving the quality of higher education. This site includes information about AAHE's Technology Projects, Teaching Initiative, Assessment Forum, and Forum on Faculty Roles and Rewards. You can also find information about their upcoming conferences and membership.

  • Educause

    The association for managing and using information resources in higher education. Information on their annual conference, professional development workshops, job posting service, and issues related to managing and using information resources.

  • Office of Professional and Instructional Development (OPID)

    OPID serves as a statewide faculty development resource for University of Wisconsin System institutions. Established in 1977 as the Undergraduate Teaching Improvement Council, it was first led by a council of campus representatives who focused primarily on teaching improvement. Over the past few years OPID has expanded its emphases to meet the broader professional needs of faculty and academic staff with programming on topics such as student learning, the scholarship of teaching and learning, career stages, and faculty roles and rewards. OPID's Council remains essential to its operation, both as an advisory board and as a liaison between System and its campuses.

  • POD Network

    The Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education (POD) fosters human development in higher education through faculty, instructional, and organizational development by: providing support and services for its members through publications, conferences, consulting, and networking; offering services and resources to others interested in faculty development; and fulfilling an advocacy role, nationally, seeking to inform and persuade educational leaders of the value of faculty, instructional, and organizational development in institutions of higher education.
