How to Apply
- Connect to www.fafsa.ed.gov and use the online method to apply for financial aid. We encourage the use of this technology as it offers quicker results, easier access to current status, and estimates the family contribution. STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE THE FAFSA EACH ACADEMIC YEAR.
- A renewal FAFSA can also be filed at the above site.
- Submit the FAFSA and all other required documents by the priority date of March 15. Applications submitted after this date may be too late for many aid programs. Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Using the Personal Identification Number (PIN) as your electronic signature is also recommended.
-
- All students and parents can get a PIN if they do not have one or have lost it at www.pin.ed.gov.
- The PIN will also give the student access to other valuable information at www.nslds.ed.gov.
- Upon completing the FAFSA, the student will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) containing information as submitted on the FAFSA.
-
- If the SAR contains incorrect information, the student should use his/her PIN to make corrections via the www.fafsa.ed.gov web site.
- Acceptance of admission to UW-Whitewater is required before the application for aid will be considered (processed).
- It is the applicant's responsibility to submit all data on a timely basis.
- To inquire about the status of the student's application for aid, contact FAO at (262) 472-1130 or e-mail uwwfao@uww.edu. Please include your name and student id when you e-mail.
