The April 3, 2014, meeting was called to order at 2:18 p.m. by Associate Dean Meisel, substituting for John Stone who was attending a meeting off campus.

 

Paul Ambrose moved, with a second by Colin DeMers, to approve the minutes of the March 6, 2014 meeting. With no comments or corrections, the motion carried.

  1. Curricular Action: Course Deletion from the Department of Geography: GEOG 660 Applied Physical Geography in GIS

John Zbikowski moved to approve the Information Only items on the agenda. Manuel Ossers seconded the motion. The motion carried.

  2. Curricular Action: Course Deletion from the Department of Management: MANGEMNT 766 Venture Initiation

Mark Schroeder moved to approve the new course from the Department of Educational Foundations. Carol Normand seconded the motion. With no questions or concerns, the motion carried.

  1. Curricular Action: New Course from the Department of Educational Foundations: EDFOUND 785: Coordinating Gifted Education Programs and Services

Next, Mark Schroeder moved to approve the new course from the Department of HPERC. John Zbikowski seconded the motion. Steve Albrechtsen explained that this new 700-level course is the beginning of a series of new 700-level courses that will be introduced to meet the needs of the graduate students in the program. With no questions or concerns, the motion passed.

  1. Curricular Action: New Course from the Department of HPERC: RECREATN/COACHING 715: Organization and Administration of Sport and Recreation

With no further discussion, Mark Schroeder moved to adjourn the meeting. John Zbikowski seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 2:24 p.m.
