Watercolor 3 u

A studio course where exercises and experimentation with transparent watercolor pigments and techniques will be combined with art principles in the creation of watercolor paintings.

Prereq: Consent of instructor.

ARTSTDIO 585

Electronic Illustration 3 u

Electronic Illustration will present techniques, concepts and practices that are part of the field of Illustration. The class will pay special attention to the development of these within the context of computer technology. A variety of imaging software will be used, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, painter as well as an introduction to 3-D Graphic effects. An emphasis on the higher end potential of cross platform effects will be stressed.

Advanced Drawing 3 u

A studio course which provides the opportunity for students to pursue directed intermediate and advanced research in drawing. This course will enhance learning by allowing intermediate students the advantage of seeing advanced level work in progress. Repeatable in increments of 3 units per semester for a maximum of 12 units.

Advanced Digital Photo
Studio - Art, Ads, Immersive Photography

Student progress from hand held location based digital photographic techniques to advanced studio problems. Tabletop styling, lighting control. portraiture methods, experimental spherical VR, editorial illustration and fine art imaging are explored using medium and large format HD filmless cameras. Spherical immersive photo VR for games, industry, art and idevice applications may be explored.
