Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

The graduate certificate in clinical mental health counseling (CMHC) is designed for individuals who have a Master's degree in Counseling from a CACREP-accredited institution (or equivalent). This certificate program provides post-graduate training in clinical mental health counseling for students who have completed a Master's degree with another emphasis (e.g. Community, Higher Education, School). Academic backgrounds of applicants are evaluated on an individual basis to ensure equivalence of degree programs, sufficient background in core community courses, and adequacy of preparation. Upon admission, an advisor is assigned to work with the student to develop an individualized program of studies.
