The Graduate Transition Specialist Certificate Program is designed to prepare professionals with capital Bachelors Degrees in Education or related fields to facilitate successful transition planning for individuals with disabilities throughout their lifespan.

A Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of 2.75 overall as an undergraduate
Applicants for this program must have taken SPECED 606: Transition Programming for Students with Disabilities, or the equivalent, or dept/coord. approval.
Note: Units earned in the Transitions Specialist Certificate Program may also count for the Master of Science in Education Degree Program in Special Education.
The Certificate Program will require a minimum of 15 units of the courses listed below. This is a tentative list of courses to be included in the program.
Completion of the capstone course, Applied Action Research in Special Education (SPECED 704), represents the final requirement for the Transition Specialist Certificate.
