The Master of Science (M.S.) Degree in Communication provides an advanced-level, practitioner-oriented course of study examining the relationship between theory and effective communication practice in interpersonal, small group, organizational, public, electronic and mass communication contexts.
The curriculum is designed to: familiarize students with various communication paradigms-examining and assessing how various such paradigms explain and predict communication phenomena; develop data collection skills leading to effective analysis and interpretation of communication events; and explore how technology continues to influence message-sharing behavior from individual to cultural-levels.
