Professional Development Process

The College of Education's 12-credit Graduate Certificate Program in the Professional Development Process (PDP) is designed to train experienced professional educators, who have completed the Initial Educator Licensure Cycle in Wisconsin, to support initial educators in their development, implementation and verification of their Professional Development Plans required for licensure renewal. Participants will complete coursework to prepare them for roles as district based coaches and mentors and in-service trainers/facilitators. Program completers may also be eligible to serve as higher education representatives on PDP teams through contracted participation as instructors in the summer institute series for initial educators at UW-Whitewater or other UW campuses.
