Option 1: Online Professional Development Masters with Specialist Certificates in Applied Behavior Analysis, Autism,and Transition

This emphasis is designed for professionals who would like advanced knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with disabilities but who are not pursuing teaching licensure. The master’s degree is fully online and includes specialist certificates in applied behavior analysis, autism, and transition.

In the Action Research sequence, you design a project to make change in your work setting. This project is centered on one of your certificate areas. Your project is approved through the Internal Review Board at UWW. You receive one-to-one faculty support to carry out your project during the Applied Action Research independent study class.

Option 2: Cross Categorical Licensure MSE

The MSE in Special Education is designed for working professionals with bachelor degrees who seek initial licensure in special education. Individuals with current emergency licenses are also ideal candidates for this program. Students complete a 36 credit MSE in three years with night and summer classes. Licenses earned include Cross Categorical and Learning Disabilities.
