Learning Community students will live in the same dorm (Knilans) together and sign up for several shared classes that focus on the common concern of exploring environmental issues key to our world today: Honors Freshman English, Global Perspectives, and a New Student Seminar-all required classes for all students anyhow.  You will get to know this core group of students, feeling connected and committed together to doing your best.  Don't worry, you will still make plenty of other friends in your other classes and other activities.  Joining the Learning Community is the only way you can be absolutely sure of getting some Honors-only sections of these required courses, as they fill up quickly.  The best part of the Learning Community is that your resident-assistant will be a high-energy leader who is already busy planning a variety of activities that will certainly make your first year a memorable one.  View the Learning Community, Honors Advantage, and sign-up today.
