Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Available

Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac is currently available for installation. If you are interested in having Office 2008 installed on your Mac, contact the Helpdesk at x4357 or helpdesk@uww.edu (helpdesk@uww.edu). Work-at-Home (WAH) Media, for installation on your Mac at home, is also available through the Helpdesk.

Office 2008 has new versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Entourage. Office 2008 for Mac uses the same file formats as Office 2007 for Windows so files you share with your colleagues will be compatible. Students will have access to Office 2008 when the campus student computing labs are upgraded to Office 2008 during Spring break.

Office 2008 has a new interface and new features that allow you to focus on what you want to do rather than how to do it.
