Free Antivirus for Your Personal Computer!

symantec logo UW-Whitewater is committed to providing information and services to ensure your computing environment is secure. Antivirus software is a great protection agent for your computer; it actively combats against viruses, malware, and identity theft. UW-Whitewater has partnered with Symantec to provide antivirus software licenses for the entire campus.

Attention:  Windows 10 is no longer compatible with Symantec Antivirus. If your device is running this version, we recommend downloading and installing AVG.

All UW-Whitewater employees and students, with active Net-IDs, are able to download Symantec antivirus software on their personal computers. The personal version of Symantec Endpoint Protection should not be installed on University-owned computers.

If you are unsure of your current Windows 10 version, please follow these steps, Windows 10 Version (PDF).
