PC System RECOMMENDATIONS
UW-Whitewater has developed a list of recommended desktop and laptop configurations that work best in the UW-Whitewater computing environment. These models are specifically configured for the UW-Whitewater campus to ensure a long life cycle and maximum compatibility with the software and other hardware available on the campus.
We recommend the following minimum hardware specifications:
Laptop Configuration
- Screen Size - Varying sizes are acceptable
- Intel i5 or AMD Turion II processor

- 500GB hard drive or 128GB flash storage
- 802.11 a/g/n WIFI
- Windows 7 or newer

Desktop Configuration

- 8.0 GB memory
- Screen Size - Varying sizes are acceptable
- 1TB hard drive
- Windows 7 or newer
