Helpdesk technicians assist desktop support by providing second-level support across the campus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Helpdesk technicians assist desktop support by providing second-level support across the campus and assisting/training first-level support. Second-level support includes jack activations; hardware replacement, software installs and fixes, and email conversions. A general overall knowledge of campus network administration and desktop management is needed. Testing, documenting, and training users on new products is also required. Take over many of the management duties of the helpdesk when the supervisor is away.
