Data Custodianship Governance Group
The Data Custodianship Governance Group is a campus group that determines appropriate policies and practices for governance of personal data that the campus collects. A primary focus of this group is to ensure appropriate policies and practices for the data elements covered in Wisconsin's data privacy law (Wisconsin Act 138, now WI State Statute 895.507). These elements are SSNs, driver's license numbers and financial account numbers. The group includes representatives from Student Life, The University Center, Admissions, University Advancement, Financial Services, Financial Aid, Registrar's office and Continuing Education / Graduate Studies.
