Camps & Conferences - Events Calendar Policy

Purpose: The primary purpose of the Camps and Conferences portion of the Campus Events Calendar is to notify the University and the greater Whitewater communities about forthcoming non-credit camps, conferences, workshops and seminars.

Who Can Submit: Any individual or organization planning a camp, conference, workshop or seminar is welcome to submit an event to be listed.

Event Types

Camp - is defined as a program extending beyond one day and involves participants residing in campus housing.

Conference - is defined as a program that does not involve a residential component and the nature of which is based in knowledge acquisition and exchange of ideas. More often than not a conference extends beyond one day.

Workshop - is defined as a program that does not involve a residential component and the nature of which is based in skill development.

Seminar - is defined as a program that does not involve a residential component and the nature of which is based in advanced study, often under the leadership of the faculty. Seminars are intended to exchange information and hold discussions.
