Nicole Weber

Director of Learning Technology

As the Director of Learning Technology, Nicole is responsible for providing leadership and support for the delivery of innovative, pedagogically-sound, and technology-enhanced instruction in face-to-face, blended, and online learning experiences with the ultimate goal of enhancing learning outcomes and increasing student success. To do this effectively she actively works to foster collaborative partnerships (among faculty, academic leaders, and technology professionals) and leads a talented learning technology team who is laser focused on assisting instructors, programs, colleges, and the institution in creating transformational educational experiences and implementing innovative programs that support success for all students.

Nicole has a background in online and blended faculty development leadership and has worked in been in the classroom (face-to-face and virtually) since 2009 teaching courses on research methods, community problems, social media in education, human abilities and learning, and educational psychology both here at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Additionally, she has actively published and presented at conferences on online and blended faculty development, emerging technologies, and success strategies for first generation college students. Nicole received her PhD in Social Foundations of Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

• In January 2016 I was selected to the Educause Young Professional’s Advisory Council.
• My favorite Green Bay Packer of all time is Brett Favre and my favorite Milwaukee Brewer of all time is B.J. Surhoff.
• I am the first person in my family to graduate from college.
