Technology Tips

Having the proper technology environment is a key element in the success of your online course. At a minimum, consult the D2L System and Browser Requirements link below before you start preparing to teach an online course using D2L. Since you will be relying on the D2L course site environment for most of your course authoring, it is critical that you work on a computer that meets those requirements. This will save you hours of frustration and will help technical staff to more easily diagnose any problem you might have.

If you plan to use technologies beyond simply D2L, such as Flash objects, streaming media, podcasting, etc., please consult with LTC staff. We will help you test the technology in various operating environments. It will be helpful to let your students know of any special requirements (such as browser plug-ins needed, etc.) prior to the start of your course.
