I go to D2L and type my username and password and hit log in. When I hit log in, the page starts to load and then the whole window will close. I was able to use D2L at the beginning of the year on this computer and now it won't work.

Problem: When entering D2L, your browser may crash unexpectedly. This will typically happen when part of the D2L homepage has loaded.

Solution: Update Java

Java (used by the pager) may have become corrupt or out-of-date. To update, do the following:

1) (Highly Recommended) Remove all older versions of Java from your computer: http://java.com/en/download/help/5000010800.xml

2)Install the latest version of Java from the Sun website (http://java.com/en/download/help/5000010400.xml)

3) Restart your computer.
