Campus Firewall
Project Overview
A firewall will secure the campus network from attacks on data stored on the university network. Firewalls offer protection for all campus computers and networks from various viruses and worms on the Internet.

- Communication with Networking, Desktop Support, Help Desk, NOC Server Teams, iCIT Security Office, Reslife Support
- Develop plans for migration of workstations and subnets to firewall
- Develop plans for identifying possible exceptions to meet user needs
- Develop plan to test firewall rules
Summer 2008
- Migration of pilot subnets
- Test support applications
- Communicate changes and policies with the Campus
- Put approved exceptions into firewall
- Test firewall rules
- Campus migration to firewall completed on August 29, 2008
