Identity Management
Project Overview
This project will implement Novell Identity Manager 3.5 to better management faculty, staff, and student login and password management. People with multiple roles on campus will no longer need multiple logins and passwords to access different resources. Also, new students, staff, and faculty can be added to the system in real time.
Benefits
- Standardizes and automates the provisioning of new employees and students in near real time
- People with multiple university roles (ie. student and staff) can now have one account with permissions for both roles
- Reduce the time involved in provisioning and deprovisioning accounts
- Increase the number of populations provisioned accounts to access university services
Timeline
- May 2008-Completion of system deployment and conversion of existing processes
- June 2008-Peoplesoft Integration
- July 2008-Test new procedures and confirm them
- August & September 2008-Tune and adjust the system
