Unified Desktop Management
Project Overview
This project will implement a standard set of tools and processes for managing workstations across all of campus called Zenworks 10.0. The outcome of this project will reduce duplication of efforts between lab and classroom computer management, office computer management, provide improved and automated processes to allow more efficient service, and create consistency among workstations on campus. Computers will be able to be updated in a much timelier fashion than in the past. Users will also have greater portability of their data as they will be able to access it from any campus location.

Tentative Timeline
Summer 2008
- Install new Zenworks server
Early Fall 2008
- Migrate a pilot group of workstations to the new system
Late Fall 2008
- Migrate the rest of campus workstations to Zenworks 10.0 in groups
- Implement Unified Desktop Solutions
