Web Content Management System
The UW-Whitewater campus utilizes a Web Content Management System (CMS) to keep online information timely and audience-centered while creating a uniform feel through the site. In April 2011, iCIT launched a new CMS called Ingeniux, to replace the current system Serena Collage. The new CMS is more user-friendly for campus web site contributors, and will make it easier to produce web pages with a more vibrant design, more videos and photos, that allow the user to have a better visual experience.
The first phase of the roll-out of the new CMS included the uww.edu home page, Marketing and Media Relations page, and all major pages. CMS will be rolled out over the course of the next two years in phases 2 (external facing pages) and phase 3 (pages internal to campus). Watch for other web site pages to adopt the new look in the weeks and months to come.
