
Windows Internet Explorer 7(IE7) is the next version of the Microsoft web browser. This new version mades major changes to the user interface and adds a number of popular features. The upgrade from Internet Explorer 6 to IE7 was completed during Spring Break 2007 (March 26-30, 2007). iCIT has verified that IE7 is compatible with all major campus systems.
IE7 is delivered as an automatic update for Windows. Users working at their personal computers may have received this update. Please be aware that upgrading your personal computer may cause compatibility problems with some UWW systems.

When I upgrade to IE7, will my settings get transferred over from IE6?
Internet Explorer 7 will preserve your current toolbars, home page, search settings, and favorites and installing will not change your choice of default browser.
Will all my settings and favorites be preserved?
IE7 will import your favorites from IE6. Some settings may be changed by default due to the new security settings, however most will be imported.
