Network Jack Activation
A Jack Activation Request is a request to turn on (activate) a jack that has not been used and is not currently active/enabled.
To submit a request call the Technology Support Center Helpdesk at x4357 (HELP), or send an email to email@example.com. All requests must include:
- Contact name
- Phone number
- E-mail address
- Type of request (activation, move, or deactivation)
- Building name and Jack number(s). The jack number is noted on the jack in the wall, and typically begins with the letter "D". Network jacks typically use the colored jack.
- Each jack must be listed individually.
There is no charge to move or deactivate a network jack. There is a $125 charge for new jack activations to pay for network switching ports.
Requested network jacks will be activated within 3-10 business days.
