Anti-Virus Software
Having the currently supported anti-virus software installed on your computer will greatly help prevent your system from having virus or worm infections or outbreaks. Currently, UW-W supports McAfee VirusScan 8.0i as the anti-virus product for computers running the Windows operating system.
Students living in Residence Halls may download current anti-virus software from http://my.resnet.uww.edu/software.php.
UW-W faculty and staff may receive free versions of current anti-virus software for installation on personally owned (home) computers use from the Helpdesk through UW-W Work-At-Home Software Licensing.
If you do not have the currently supported anti-virus software installed on your university owned computer, please contact the Technology Support Center Helpdesk at helpdesk@uww.edu, or by phone at 472-4357, to schedule an installation.
