UWW is proud to offer free access to its wireless network to all students, faculty, staff and emeriti with a valid Net-ID. All you need is a laptop computer or PDA with a WiFi certified 802.11b/g or 802.11a/b/g wireless network card. If your computer does not have a built-in wireless network card, you should purchase a WiFi certified 802.11b/g or 802.11a/b/g wireless network card. We recommend Linksys or Cisco brands. The network provides 802.11b/g/a wireless access to the Internet and UWW campus applications available through a web browser. These applications include Outlook Web Access, D2L, and WINS. Additional applications are being considered for inclusion in the future.
Wireless access is available in many locations throughout campus: just look for the UW-Whitewater Wireless pennants.
