Cisco VoIP System on Campus
WHAT IT IS: This webpage includes information and resources to accompany the roll out of a new VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone system on campus, including information about live workshops available to University faculty and staff, and user guides for each phone model used on campus, and for Cisco Jabber software that expands the capabilities of the new phone system. iCIT will continue to update this information with additional materials, including video, as they become available.
Although NOT intended as a replacement for attending a live training session, online materials cover the basics of the new phone system that may be useful before attending training sessions, and can provide essential information for those who cannot attend one of the scheduled live sessions at this time.
Live VoIP Training Sessions
ICIT offers VoIP training workshops for University faculty and staff, intended to provide an overview of the features of the new Cisco VoIP phones. The workshops also cover the companion software, Cisco Jabber that provides additional features and offers time-saving alternatives to using a traditional phone. All workshops include time reserved for a question-and-answer session.
Workshops will be available throughout the fall semseter. All scheduling and registration can be viewed at signup.uww.edu. Workshops are listed in the VoIP Phone System section.
