TEACHING EXPERIENCE:   I began teaching English as a Second Language almost 30 years ago in Arlington, Virginia. I have taught adult students of all ages from all around the world, and I have taught teaching methodology to ESL and bilingual teachers in the United States and Mexico. I am currently working with an international team to support teachers in the schools of the Galápagos Islands of Ecuador. I have taught at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater since 1995.

WHY DO YOU ENJOY WORKING WITH INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS?    I enjoy getting to know students and helping them to adjust to U.S. culture and to the academic expectations of American universities. Many of my writing students have been recognized with writing awards at UW-Whitewater. I am always happy when international students set a high standard for themselves and I can help them to reach that goal.
