Wisconsin Grant for Study Abroad
This program provides grants for students attending a university-sponsored study abroad program who meet the following criteria:
- Undergraduate Wisconsin resident;
- Enrollment in a program leading to a Bachelor's degree;
- Demonstrated financial need (FAFSA on file with UW-W Financial Aid Office);
- Completed 24 credits toward graduation by the time of application for the grant;
- Full-time enrollment in the semester preceding the study abroad.
The Application Process
- Applications must be returned to the Center for Global Education, Hyland Hall, Suite 1227, by June 1st for fall semester and winterim awards and by November 15th for spring semester and summer awards.
- Applicants must have a completed (FAFSA) application on file with the Financial Aid Office by April 15th for fall semester and winterim awards and by November 15th for spring semester and summer awards. Please contact the Financial Aid Office directly if you are unsure of your status.
- Initial eligibility will be reviewed and certified by the Center for Global Education.
- Applications deemed eligible will be forwarded to the Financial Aid Office for need determination and award.
- Recipients will be notified by mail.
